Example 1: Because of my continuing education and a fundemental understanding of color, I do not require bleach to achieve lightening. Bleach is a chemical that allows the stylist to "leach" everything out of the cortex and then tone if desired. This is the most damaging thing you can put your hair through and its effects show in the long run. Let me turn you on to a whole new concept of Hair Color. Example 2: Many new clients come in and want to hack off their long hair because of the amount of maintance and the lack of structure in the hair. This can be caused by many factors such as; shampoing hair too often, inadequate conditioner, medications, inactive sebum glands, etc. I am able to perform one or a combination of treatments on the hair to get the hair back to its naturally healthy state. -Alan Mandarano

Dikson's Formula Line, Fixer Line, & Co Line and Tonic Line, are specifically packaged for the USA Market. They are pleasing to the eye & nose as well as performing miracles on the hair and are affordable, even after being imported from Milan, Italy. How can this be? In a word, "marketing", a lack there of. Dikson exports to independent distributors in the USA and distributors cater to salon professionals only. This is why you will only hear of Dikson from a well informed hairdresser. There is not a better hair color in existence today, this is undebatable in the USA market as it is the only one available in a molecular state. Why don't other lines convert to a molecular state. In a word, "cost". They rely on a fierce marketing program, to program hairstylists and consumers.
Dikson is hugely successful in the European market and has a strong presence in 37 other countries and has since the 1970's. You have to realize that the USA market is one of a kind. In Europe to be a licensed cosmetologist you have to go to school for 5 years and then on to a 2 year apprenticeship before you can strike out on your own. It is a well respected profession and one that is taken very seriously, once holding a top 5 position in most respected professions in Europe. The Extra line is a direct descendent of this heritage, being prescriptive in nature with all the research and development inside the packaging. This is 180 degrees from the practices in the USA market, where the emphasis is on marketing & packaging, manufacturing done by an independent lab, using non-proprietary ingredients. The bulk of hairstylists coming out of beauty school in the USA do not pursue advanced training and the education that is received in school is out of date and has been for 20 years. Consumers and Practitioners are bombarded with new products that claim to be the next revolution in hair care, but are merely new approaches to marketing products that are mostly manufactured by someone else. |
