Division/Clinton
This neighborhood is a living history of American culture. On Division, Langlitz Leathers is where the motorcycle jacket was invented in 1947; Loprinzi’s Gym opened in 1948 as one of the nation’s first body building gyms, and a block to the south, on Clinton, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” screened every Saturday night since 1978, has had the longest run in the world at the Clinton Street Theater.
What’s new are all the great restaurants. Nuestra Cucina, Lauro Kitchen and Pix Patisserie on Division; Vindalho on Clinton, as well as old favorites Dot’s Café and Noho’s Hawaiian Café. Clinton Street Brewing, next to the theater and supplying moviegoers with beer and pizza, is Oregon’s smallest brewery.
